Hewlett-Packard will reportedly launch a 7-inch tablet in August 2011 following a 9.7-inch TouchPad debut on July 1 this weekend.
HP has ordered 400,000 to 450,000 tablets per month from a supplier TouchPad Inventec, Taiwan Economic News reported, as quoted by C-Net on Monday (27.06.11). Inventec will supply HP TouchPad 9.7 inches, as well as the latest 7-inch tablet.
A source was quoted as saying people in the Taiwan Economic News says HP will reserve about 3 million tablets of Inventec in 2011.
Before the launch in August, there was no any details about the HP 7-inch tablet.
While HP will launch its 9.7-inch TouchPad Tablet in the United States on Friday. The price ranges from 499.99 dollars for a capacity of 16 GB and 599.99 dollars for a capacity of 32 GB.
These tablets will be sold through a number of retailers, including Amazon.com, BestBuy, Wal-Mart, and Staples. The tablet has a 9.7 inch display 1024 x 768, has a 1.3 megapixel webcam, with WiFi and Bluetooth.
